Twice a year, premium yachts move between the central Indonesian seas and West Papua for the Raja Ampat season. Those passages align with the calmer monsoon transitions — October to December, and March to April.
The route links Lombok, Komodo National Park, Flores, the Banda Sea and Raja Ampat in one continuous line. Typically ten to fourteen nights, three to four hours average daily cruising, and two activity blocks a day.

Four stages, one voyage
Sumbawa To Komodo
East to Moyo and Satonda, Saleh Bay for seasonal whale sharks, then three to four days in Komodo National Park: Padar at sunrise, Pink Beach, Manta Point, Taka Makassar and ranger-led dragon walks.
Flores & The Banda Sea
Past Labuan Bajo, the eastern gateway, then the long crossing via Alor and the Forgotten Islands. This is the open-water part of the voyage and the reason it needs a settled weather window.
Misool & Raja Ampat
Into the archipelago itself. Misool's limestone lagoons and the reefs that make this the most biodiverse marine region on the planet.

How long is the Lombok to Raja Ampat expedition?
Ten to fourteen nights, covering nine hundred to twelve hundred nautical miles via Komodo, Flores, the Banda Sea and Misool. Average daily cruising is three to four hours, with two main activity blocks each day.
When does it run?
Once or twice a year, aligned with the calmer monsoon transitions between October and December and again between March and April. These are repositioning voyages that move yachts to West Papua for the Raja Ampat season, so the dates are not flexible.
What does it cost?
Private charters on luxury phinisi, catamarans and motor yachts start from around USD 18,500 per trip for the whole boat as of August 2026. Longer routings and larger vessels sit above that.
Is this suitable for a first Indonesian charter?
Rarely. It is a genuine passage with open-water legs across the Banda Sea, and it rewards guests who have done multi-day charters before. A Lombok–Komodo crossing is the more sensible first voyage.
