How the route runs
Out west, and back
The classic 2D1N leaves from Senggigi or the Gili Islands, crosses the Wallace Line toward Penida, and returns via Lembongan. Day one is snorkelling around Trawangan, Meno and Air, then the afternoon passage west.
Day two wakes near Kelingking or Crystal Bay, explores Penida by tender and car, then continues to Lembongan for mangrove or reef snorkelling before sailing back. Legs between clusters run two to four hours, so the emphasis stays on water time rather than engine hours.

How long is the sail to Nusa Penida?
From northwest Lombok — Senggigi or the Gilis — to the north or west side of Penida takes about three to five hours on a power yacht and four to seven on a sailing catamaran, depending on currents and wind. Skippers plan departures around daylight and the Lombok Strait currents.
What does the route cost?
Day-charter rates run about USD 1,330–2,390 per boat as of August 2026, depending on yacht type and group size. Multi-day versions with a Bali finish start from USD 4,900 per charter for 3D2N.
What is the classic itinerary?
A 2D1N departing Senggigi or the Gilis: snorkelling around Trawangan, Meno and Air, an afternoon passage to Penida, then waking near Kelingking or Crystal Bay before continuing to Lembongan and sailing back.
Can we finish in Bali instead of returning?
Yes. The same corridor continues to Bali's east coast rather than turning back, which is the 3D2N Bali–Lombok–Gili format. Which direction you run it usually depends on where your flights are.
